Obama acts like he owns all our Monuments and parks, and can shut everything down whenever he feels like it. You are witnessing the most arrogant display of raw, naked power by any American President ever. Whenever he can’t get his way, a vindictive Obama verbally abuses the Republicans and threatens dire consequences to American families until they cave into him: America’s debts won’t get paid, Veterans can’t visit their WWI monument, little kids can’t visit “his” White House, etc.
If you don’t like this dictatorial use of power; then you must support Republicans as they try to prevent him acquiring even more power over you using Obamacare. Obama can even determine whether you live or die.* As I said on 9/29/13: “ObamaCare violates our privacy, religious and gun rights. Millions have lost jobs and/or healthcare. We can’t keep our doctor. Death Panels will determine whether and how much healthcare seniors get. Insurance costs will triple; private insurers will be forced out of business; and we’ll all be forced into Obama’s Exchanges. But more than half of those who didn’t have insurance still won’t have it! …”
Obama and Democrats are in a partisan fight with Republicans over funding Obamacare. Obama wants to discriminate against us individuals by forcing us to pay fines or buy his expensive exchange insurance; while granting exemptions from ObamaCare to his favored supporters; corporations, private unions, all government unions and all White House, Supreme Court and Congressional staff.* Given how his Media support this nonsense, their union must also be exempt!!
Obama refuses to negotiate with Republicans on anything. Instead, like a Tyrant, he orders Republicans to obey him. Our Constitution is a system of checks and balances. The House has the Constitutional power of the purse. It is not a rubber stamp to waste public funds on Obama’s destructive and fraudulent schemes. Obama is not our King. … yet.
Obama deliberately barricaded the WWII Memorial out of spite: The White House was notified WWI vets were coming in on “Honor Flights,” donated by the public. WWII Vets in their 80’s and 90’s are coming to honor their dead comrades. We owe them. We are a free country because of their sacrifices.
While saying he had no money, Obama maliciously spent money to get his government union minions to use bulldozers to barricade and block access to otherwise open structures such as the Veteran’s Memorial and other Memorials located in public parks.*
Republicans have sent funding bills for Veteran’s Affairs and America’s National Monuments and Parks but the Democrat-controlled Senate has rejected them.* Obama venomously threatened to veto any such bill.* When the RNC offered to pay the cost of keeping the memorial open, Obama spitefully refused.
Fortunately, Republican congressmen and women escorted the WWI vets to view their memorial. They may be old vets. But they are gutsy.* As one Republican said, “This is the best civil disobedience I have seen in Washington for a while.”
Obama provides $85 billion/month to boost the stock market for his millionaire friends* Since 2009, Obama and Bernanke have printed money for Stimulus, TARP, QE1, QE2, QE3 and now Q4 to fund various bond buying schemes for the rich.* Obama could order Bernanke to print another $85 billion/month to avoid a shut-down.
Government Union Workers will get paid anyway after the shutdown is over: There is nothing to prevent Obama ordering everyone to keep working instead of providing them with paid holidays and shutting everything down.
There is plenty of money for Obama himself, who lives like a king: As of mid-June 2012, Obama had played over 100 rounds of gold spending more time on golfing than on economic meetings. They have taken 16 vacations in 3 years.* Flight on Air Force 1 cost $179,000/hour.* Usually, 2 or more extra planes have to carry Obama’s entourage, secret service, luggage, armored vehicles and helicopters.
The Obama family’s Christmas vacation in Hawaii costs $4 million. In 2012, Obama travelled back and forth to Hawaii twice, costing an additional $3 million. Total cost for trips to Hawaii: over $20 million.*
In November 2010, Obama went to India and rented 870 luxury rooms, including the entire 4-star Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, at a reported cost of $200 million.
Michelle Obama’s trip with 62 of her friends, plus staff, secret service agents and vehicles, plus rent for half the luxury resort in Marbella, Spain, officially cost “only” half a million. The plane alone, 11 hours @$179,000/hour, would have cost more!
In June, 2013, Obama’s went to Ireland for 2 days. Officially, it cost $5.2 Million. This is a lie. 3 planes for 11 hours @$179,000/hour cost more than $5.2 million! Obama’s retinue exceeded that of the Queen. He took with him 3 duplicate Helicopters, the armored Presidential Limo, 35 vehicles, 12 teleprompters and a staff of 500 including 4 speech writers, 6 doctors, 200 secret service agents, chefs, kitchen staff, his own food and water and even 6 food tasters!
His June 2013 African Safari cost over $100 Million. The cost of this one trip would keep the White House open for 1,350 weeks so little children could visit!
In 2013, Obama’s children flew to a luxury resort in Mexico; then to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and then went skiing with their mother in Aspen. Obama vacationed separately. Finally, they all vacationed in Cape Cod in a $50,000/week rental.
Next time Obama looks you straight in the eye, blames Republicans for the shut down and says there is no money; understand that he is lying. Think about how much he spends on himself.
There is no shortage of money. There is no need for a government shut down. Or to shut down the White House, close all of Monuments and Parks or prevent Vets from visiting their Memorials. All Obama has to do is to stop discriminating against us individuals and give us the same exemption he has already given his favored supporters.
Obama is just being vindictive and spiteful. He is hurting Americans to show us he has power over us and force us to acknowledge he is our ruler.
